Dr. Manoj Nakra
Manoj Nakra is a founding partner of CORS. Manoj acquired a doctorate in business from Case Western Reserve University in 2004, after returning to school after nearly 21 years of senior management work experience. Manoj academic credentials, which includes an under-graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the world famous Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, India, are complemented with strong corporate and retail experience at senior levels.
Prior to the doctorate, Manoj was Deputy CEO of Jashanmal National Company in Dubai where he honed his retail experience running Jashanmal Department Stores, Books Gallery, and international franchises like Clarks, Burberry, Carlton Cards, etc., and the distribution business that included brand names like Cross, Delsey, Hoover, Kenwood kitchen appliances, etc. Manoj has extensive experience in conceptualizing new businesses. As CEO he conceptualized and established ‘The Waterbase Limited’ (TWL) in India, a green-field $16M investment in the aquaculture business.
Manoj has strong strategy, operations, business development, international alliance management, technology transfer, technology development and project management experience. Manoj honed his teaching skills in the US during his doctoral studies, where he was awarded the best trainer award.
